Poetry Writing Workshop with James Hamilton
In a world where countless voices compete for attention, finding and nurturing your authentic poetic voice has never been more essential. This workshop is designed for poets and writers seeking to create unique and impactful work that stands out in an increasingly crowded literary landscape. Through a blend of theoretical discussions, group interactions, and real-life examples, participants will learn how to infuse their writing with authenticity and originality, setting their work apart from the rest whether that work is represented on the page or from the stage.

Open Mic Night at The Nook
Local author Suzanne Zipperer will headline the night. About Suzanne Zipperer: Suzanne sought inspiration for writing in the faraway places she lived. Retiring on her family farm, finally taking the advice to writers, “Write what you know,” took her writing to a more authentic level. Many of her stories, drawing from Wisconsin’s people and communities, have been published in numerous journals and magazines including Adelaide Literacy Magazine, Arielchart, and Catamaran.
